Charmaine Teo

Co-Founder

Charmaine Teo is an early years thinker, lawyer, and co-founder of Between Two Trees Preschool. She studied law and worked as legal counsel in finance before finding her passion in early childhood education. Charmaine earned a Masters in Early Childhood Education and started Between Two Trees with Hui Hua. She currently serves as vice-president of the Association for Early Childhood Educators (Singapore), a professional body committed to working with educators, other professionals and stakeholders. Charmaine firmly believes in the beauty of safe spaces that support emergent and experiential early learning within an Asian context.

Koh Hui Hua

Co-Founder

Koh Hui Hua is an art therapist, teacher trainer, early years teacher, a social worker at heart and co-founder of Between Two Trees Preschool. Hui Hua studied Social Work and Literature and spent 5 years at the Association of Early Childhood Educators (Singapore). Having obtained a Masters in Art Therapy, Hui Hua has more than 18 years of experience working with young children in the early education space, and has spend a good portion of that time organising workshops for Singapore educators and training student teachers in visual arts. Hui Hua strongly believes in including visual arts as a crucial component of early education and in providing children with the widest range of materials to facilitate their learning.
